Pona Sound Across North America: The “Mazowsze” Concert Tour

Reinforcing live sound for a massive ensemble in prestigious yet architecturally disparate venues is one of the steepest challenges in professional audio engineering. The recent North American tour of the “Mazowsze” National Folk Song and Dance Ensemble served as an extreme live-environment field test for Pona Sound technology.
At the helm of the front-of-house mix was sound engineer Piotr Przedbora, who has consistently integrated Pona Sound solutions into both his studio and live reinforcement workflows for over five years. For this demanding overseas tour, Przedbora collaborated closely with the technology’s inventor and chief designer, Jerzy Pona, to deploy a heavy-duty system running the Pona Sound algorithm across 32 channels at a 96 kHz sample rate. Operating over the MADI protocol, the system interfaced directly with a DiGiCo Quantum 338 Pulse console.
The tour filled some of the most iconic and acoustically challenging concert halls across the United States and Canada. The Pona Sound hardware was deployed in venues such as:

Throughout the rigorous tour, the Pona Sound system delivered flawless technical stability. It proved central to establishing a cohesive, noble, and deeply organic sonic footprint across radically different rooms—garnering high praise from the engineering team and international audiences alike.
